Meet Ray

If you hear people saying that true American folk music is dead, don't believe them. There is a guy in Maine, who was working at a small shoe factory and, fortunately for us, one day decided he's gonna start singing. It turned out to be a great idea and he got to like singing so much that he's already released three albums since 2004. Who is it then? Meet Raymond Charles "Ray" LaMontagne.

He plays guitar, harmonica and piano, and with help of these instruments he creates true American folk. His ballads are perfect if you want to relax or to create a nice atmosphere for a romantic evening. His voice is unbelievable and his music is just perfect. What makes Ray's songs that good is the fact that he's doing it more for his own pleasure than for the money or fame. He's a quiet person living on a farm with his wife and children and plays whenever he feels he has something to share with us.

I've got two songs for you here, but you can find a lot of his songs on YouTube if you are interested. Hope you'll enjoy.
